Adapting and Testing a Physical Activity Dyad Intervention for Black Girls with Asthma and Their Mothers
Overview
Dr. Salvo serves as subaward PI for this Chicago-based study (MPIs: Anna Volerman and Sharmilee Nyenhuis of the University of Chicago), where leads the physical activity assessment component of a pilot study aiming to adapt a walking intervention to increase physical activity among Black adolescent girls and mothers living with asthma. The project builds on prior work by the research team, including Dr. Salvo, in successfully promoting physical activity among Black adult women managing their asthma.
