DESCRIPTION:Supporting Families Affected by Incarceration in an Extended Welfare System: The Example of Sweden presented by Associate Professor Asa Norman of Uppsala University and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. \nA light lunch will be provided. \n  \n \nAssociate Professor Asa Norman of Uppsala University & the Karolinska Institute in Sweden has a background in behavioral science and anthropology and specializes in preventing poor health in children living in disadvantaged situations through interventions targeting parenting. Dr. Norman currently leads several projects focused on promoting positive family factors among families affected by incarceration.

DESCRIPTION:A Cross-Cultural Discussion of Professional Burnout: Sweden’s Organizational Approach presented by Dr. Jing Wu\, associate professor of sociology and Trang Nguyen\, master’s student in strategic human resource management and labor relations at the university of Gothenburg\, Sweden. \nLight Refreshments Provided. \n\n\nJing Wu is an Associate Professor of Sociology and the Program Director of the International Master’s Program in Strategic Human Resource Management and Labour Relations at the Department of Sociology and Work Science\, University of Gothenburg\, Sweden. Her research and teaching primarily focus on the aging workforce\, aged care systems\, suicide prevention\, and mental health promotion in later life. She co-edits ‘Aged Care in Context and Across Disciplines: China and Nordic Regions in Focus’ (Cambridge Scholars Publishing\, 2024). \n\nTrang Nguyen is currently a Master’s student in Strategic Human Resource Management and Labor Relations at the University of Gothenburg\, Sweden. She is pursuing a career as a Talent Partner\, focusing on human potential and employee engagement within the field of HRM. Trang’s interests include consulting with associates on workplace psychology\, supporting management teams in building organizational culture and developing leadership programs.
