Impact
With the proper resources and support, CRCI is well-positioned to improve the efficiency of our operations to advance our three top priorities:
- Provide targeted and responsive support to our researchers that maximizes opportunities to secure new funding and successfully conduct world-class research in an increasingly competitive landscape.
- Deliver high-quality, hands-on training in team science to students, post-doctoral fellows and early- and mid-career researchers.
- Disseminate research findings to the community through accessible channels for stakeholders as well as the general public.
Proposed activities include:
- Postdoctoral Fellowships: Providing training in team science and co-mentorship to recent doctoral graduates to deepen their knowledge and research skills, positioning them for research careers that will contribute to breakthroughs in community-centered education and health research.
- Doctoral Student Fellowships: Supporting Graduate Research Assistantships to conduct dissertation work with core CRCI faculty through their active research studies, fostering a team science approach since these early career investigator stages.
- CRCI Summer Institute: A three week “boot camp” for students, postdoctoral fellows and early- to mid-career researchers from Texas and across the U.S., featuring team science training led by our researchers, lectures, workshops, one-on-one consultations and networking activities with external faculty and experts.
- CRCI Building Bridges Program: Designed for international researchers at The University of Texas at Austin, this initiative provides training and consultation to our researchers regarding their methods and findings.
- Travel Support: Funding for members to attend professional research conferences, expand their expertise, develop their skills and connect with our mission.
- Communications Specialist: The recruitment and support of a skilled communications specialist with proficiency in effectively disseminating research findings among a variety of audiences through relevant media channels.
- Research Administrative Staff: The recruitment and support of additional administrative staff to assist researchers in exploring, securing and administering research funding.
Support the Center

Our fields in education and health have generated vast knowledge about evidence-based practices that can improve lives, especially related to education success, mental health and behavioral health. Unfortunately, not everyone has benefitted from that knowledge and our system still fails too many kids, adults and families. We can change that story! By ensuring that our practices leverage community and individual strengths and respond effectively to the unique contexts and challenges faced by those we serve, we can ensure the thriving of families in Texas, the U.S. and the world.
CRCI welcomes your support. Your gift will change our research – and change lives.
