Participatory Design for Climate Change Adaptation Intergenerational Climate Responsive Gardening Approach to Food Security/Climate Literacy in South African Schools
Overview
This project supports the participation of three U.S. universities in an international collaboration to co-design climate-smart indigenous food gardens in South African schools. The project aims to integrate indigenous and local ecological knowledge with climate modeling to develop climate-smart gardening practices and improve child health, climate literacy, and community-based climate adaptation in marginalized communities.
